The Floriograph series utilizes clay-soaked thread stitched into layers of drawings on pieces of porcelain to bind the composition while adding visual depth to the symbolic imagery. The simple house forms represent ideas of shelter and anthropomorphisms, while each flower has a specific meaning: honeysuckle is a symbol of nostalgia, snowdrops are symbols of hope and white heather is a commonly used symbol of protection. Using torn fragments of porcelain and embracing the cracks and breakage inherent to the material to compose the final artwork allows emphasis of the idea that everything - and by extension everyone - matters. In a number of the works, using gold lusters to paint the threads further asserts value onto the work and the concepts behind it.
