The Cover/Uncover, Unhidden series explores ideas of community, intimacy and relationships. Using simple house forms as anthropomorphisms, draped porcelain shrouds clusters of these simple house figures, implying a level of remove, a layer or protection and an intimate privacy in the hidden spaces behind the sculpture. The use of pooled glaze painted with 24k gold luster is used to add suggestions of worth and unpredictability inherent in interpersonal relationships.
