This site-specific work is made utilizing plastic refuse. Layers of packaging are bases for drawings which are then layered together and bound with twine, asserting value where before was just utility via the time required to sew by hand. This sewn sculpture was then draped like a quilt, giving comfort and protection to a tree, which is generally a source of comfort or shelter and not the recipient. This work is informed by the cycles inherent in life and commodification, with the hope that a little bit of waste can be redeemed and in turn make us see items we come into contact with every day in a new light.
